LEDs are currently used in a wide range of applications, not only indoor light but also outdoor light such as road light, security light, and view light that require higher reliability than possible with traditional light bulbs.  Moreover, it is being used in special lighting applications such as traffic signals, various automotive lighting systems, and Back Light Unit (BLU) for LCD displays found in flat panel TVs, laptop computers, and computer monitors.
